These terms govern your use of the Rekkon mobile application. By downloading or using Rekkon, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Plain language where possible — we want you to actually read this.

What Rekkon is

Rekkon is a nutrition coaching app that uses artificial intelligence to analyse meal descriptions and provide personalised nutritional guidance. It is a tool to help you understand your eating patterns and make informed choices about your nutrition.

What Rekkon is not

Rekkon is not medical advice. The nutritional analysis and coaching provided by Rekkon are generated by AI and are estimates based on the information you provide. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a medical condition, eating disorder, or specific dietary requirements, consult a qualified healthcare professional before using Rekkon.

Rekkon is not a precision instrument. Calorie and macro estimates are approximations based on your verbal or text descriptions. They are intended to provide useful directional guidance, not laboratory-grade accuracy. Actual nutritional values may vary depending on preparation methods, portion sizes, and specific ingredients.

Your account

Rekkon does not require you to create an account. There is no username, password, or email registration. Your data is stored locally on your device. This means if you lose your device or delete the app, your data cannot be recovered — there is no server-side backup.

Subscriptions and payments

Free tier. Rekkon offers a free tier with full meal logging and limited Ask access. The free tier is genuinely functional — it's not a demo.

Free trial. New users receive a 7-day free trial of Rekkon Pro. The trial begins when you first open the app. No payment information is required during the trial.

Rekkon Pro. After the trial, you may subscribe to Rekkon Pro for access to full Ask access, full coaching memory, food fingerprint insights, and additional features. Subscription pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

Billing. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings under Subscriptions.

Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We cannot process refunds directly.

AI-generated content

All nutritional analysis, coaching responses, insight cards, and suggestions in Rekkon are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude). This content is generated in real-time based on the information you provide and should be understood as AI-generated estimates and guidance, not verified facts.

While we work to ensure the AI provides accurate and helpful responses, AI systems can make mistakes. You should use your own judgment when making dietary decisions based on Rekkon's output.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Rekkon for its intended purpose — personal nutrition tracking and coaching. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app, interfere with or disrupt Rekkon's services or servers, use Rekkon's AI capabilities for purposes unrelated to personal nutrition, or share your subscription access with others.

Intellectual property

Rekkon, including its design, code, AI prompts, coaching methodologies, and brand assets, is the intellectual property of its creators. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on Rekkon without written permission.

Content generated by Rekkon in response to your inputs (meal analyses, coaching responses) is provided for your personal use. You may share individual responses (such as via the share card feature) but may not systematically collect or redistribute Rekkon's AI outputs.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Rekkon available and functioning reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we make changes that materially affect your subscription, we'll provide reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rekkon and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes but is not limited to damages arising from inaccurate nutritional estimates, dietary decisions made based on Rekkon's output, or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law or equivalent consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update this page and note the date at the top. Continued use of Rekkon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
